The Tenth Anniversary Pleasure Island Classic will be held on Saturday, January 14, at the Berry’s Treasure Disc Golf Course in Port Arthur, Texas. (This is for a local child who has a rare birth defect known as Tibial Heminelia). There will also be a payout and trophies.
You couldn’t ask for better weather for the event on Saturday, with the forecast calling for a high of 67 degrees and sun. It’ll be a beautiful day on Pleasure Island. The island is actually a man-made body of land stretching for a little over 18 miles from the mouth of the Neches River on the northwest to the Sabine Causeway on the southeast and is surrounded by Sabine Lake and the Sabine Neches Intracoastal Waterway.
